NEW DELHI — In a remarkable display of determination and perseverance, Zeenat Parveen, a resident of Kanke in Jharkhand’s Ranchi, has emerged as a state topper in Class 12. Hailing from a humble background where her father Sabir Ansari sells vegetables to make ends meet, Zeenat’s outstanding academic achievement amidst financial hardships serves as an inspiration to many.

Zeenat’s journey to academic excellence was fuelled by the unwavering support of her father and her own relentless efforts. Despite financial constraints, Zeenat was driven by her father’s tireless dedication to providing for the family. Determined to fulfil her father’s aspirations, Zeenat devoted 4 to 5 hours daily to her studies, often sacrificing sleep during exam times.

Expressing her gratitude towards her parents’ encouragement, Zeenat emphasised the transformative power of education in breaking the cycle of poverty. Inspired by her father’s resilience, Zeenat, a government school student, aspires to become an IAS officer through the UPSC exam, aiming to serve her country and contribute to societal development.

Zeenat’s ambitions extend beyond personal success; she envisions leveraging her education to improve the lives of others by focusing on education and healthcare, which she believes are fundamental rights for all members of society.

Zeenat’s academic success is a testament to her disciplined approach towards studies. She consciously distanced herself from distractions such as social media and television, prioritising her academic goals. Her commitment to hard work, consistent revision, and rigorous preparation culminated in her exceptional performance in the examination.

Reflecting on her achievement, Zeenat expressed astonishment at being the state topper. “I never thought I would become a topper,” she said. Despite her confidence in achieving a good result, Zeenat’s top-ranking status came as a pleasant surprise.

Zeenat’s father moved to tears upon hearing the news of his daughter’s success. He emphasized the relief and pride he felt in his daughter’s accomplishment. Determined to provide Zeenat with every opportunity for further education, Sabir Ansari pledged to support her aspirations wholeheartedly.
