BHOPAL — In its manifesto for Madhya Pradesh, the Congress party has promised to ban RSS shakhas in government buildings. The party released the manifesto here on Saturday. The Assembly election in the state is scheduled for November 28. Several media surveys have predicted Congress victory in the state.
The Congress has also promised to revoke the state BJP government orders allowing government employees to attend RSS shakha sessions. BJP is in power in the state for the last 15 years.
BJP has condemned the party for its anti-RSS approach. However, Congress has defended its announcement.
Madhya Pradesh Congress president Kamal Nath said: “BJP wants to put government officers and employees in lines at RSS shakhas against their wish but we want them to sit in their government offices so that people should not stand in line for their work. It i sour priority.”
