Camera Catches Modi Holding Paper With Questions & Answers During TV Interview

NEW DELHI – Apart from cloud-radar and email-digital camera remarks, another interesting observation has emerged from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s now infamous News Nation interview that aired on May 11. He was seen reading out of a script.

The new development has confirmed the claims that his TV interviews are stage-managed. During this interview, PM is asked whether he writes anything literary in nature, to which the PM says he writes poems and asks someone behind the camera to hand over his “file”, so he could read out one to the viewers.

However the ploy backfired as the camera cuts to the “file” — a stapled set of A4 sheets —  in Modi’s hand which contains the verses of the poem written on it as well as the question that was asked by the journalist, Deepak Chaurasiya.

The brief yet telling moment is seen at around 1:08:00 in the video.

This is hardly surprising since the PM’s earlier “interviews” to ANI’s Smita Prakash, ABP News etc have been slammed as being scripted as they never contain any cross-questions. One question posed to the PM by ABP anchor Rubika Liyaquat was, “How do you not get tired, do you drink any tonic?” Similarly, Akshay Kumar had  asked how he liked to eat mangoes.

Congress party’s social media in-charge and former MP  Divya Spandana pointed the observation out on Twitter. She said that it was evident how badly the interview was scripted when one pauses the video as the script flashes across the screen.

She said, “Now you know why no press conference or debate with Rahul Gandhi.”

When the interview had aired, PM Modi had become national laughing stock for his remark that he had suggested to ‘experts’ at the time of the Balakot Strike that clouds would provide radar cover to IAF jets.

The PM has not given a single press conference in five years, and one does not need to wonder why.
