BJP is Murdering Democracy: AAP Goa Unit

Date:

Due to BJP's national failure, they are going state by state in preparation for elections in 2024 so that they can manipulate elections. This has been seen in Maharashtra and now is being seen in Goa, said AAP's Goa unit President Amit Palekar

PANAJI — Reacting to the new political developments in Goa where some of Congress MLAs are keen to join the ruling party, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has said that the BJP is murdering democracy.

“Even if the BJP purchases all opposition MLAs, AAP cannot be bought. A mere two (MLA of AAP) of them will act as the voice of opposition,” AAP’s Goa unit President Amit Palekar said.

AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal and Palekar, during campaigning for assembly election were saying that a vote for Congress meant voting for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“With the Congress’ own confirmation that some of their MLAs have deserted them (to join BJP), the Congress has once again betrayed the people of Goa,” Palekar said, criticising Congress.

“The BJP is murdering democracy. Due to BJP’s national failure, they are going state by state in preparation for elections in 2024 so that they can manipulate elections. This has been seen in Maharashtra and now is being seen in Goa,” he said.

“We renew our commitment to the people of Goa today. Even if BJP purchases all opposition MLAs, AAP cannot be bought. A mere two of our MLAs will act as the voice of opposition,” he said. — IANS
