NEW DELHI — A viral video of Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament Pryagya Thakur showing her playing Kabaddi with children raised many eyebrows with people questioning her claim of health issues which earned her bail in 2017 in a terrorism-related case.
Thakur who is accused in Malegaon blast case was granted bail in April 2017 by Bombay High Court.
The video was shared by Youth Congress leader Srinivas BV on Twitter with the caption, “When is her next hearing at the NIA (National Investigation Agency) court?”
Thakur has been exempted from being present on hearings due to health complications but has been previously seen in videos showing her playing basketball and taking part in Garba festival which evoked criticism.
Thakur is facing trial on charges of terror under Section 16 (committing terrorist act) and 18 (conspiring to commit terrorist act) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
