NEW DELHI — A video surfaced on social media has triggered outrage as it shows a differently-abled teenager being mercilessly beaten up by two policemen.
The incident took place in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. Reports said the two erring cops have been suspended and more action is expected.
The victim, a 14-year-old Muslim, has narrated the assault in the video in which he said the cops beat him when they saw him selling fish. He said they told him it was illegal and asked for a 50% cut. He refused and they rained batons on him.

A senior sub-inspector said the police will not tolerate the kind of behavior shown by cops as he confirmed their suspension and assured possible further action in a video released from official social media of Bareilly police.
