AS India celebrates its 71st Independence Day, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi took to Twitter and wished India. The former all-rounder not only wished India but sent out a strong message which called for peace, tolerance and love between the two nations.

Afridi’s gesture comes at a time when the political tension between the neighbours is on a high. “Happy Independence Day India! No way to change neighbours, let’s work towards peace, tolerance and love. Let humanity prevail.# HopeNotOut,” tweeted Afridi.

Afridi’s tweet received instant attention, and almost everyone including Pakistanis were appreciating his tweet and calling for love tweet the two neighbours.
