NAGPUR — Stringent security measures have been put in place at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in the Mahal area of the city. Responding to potential security threats, police authorities have also declared the area a no-drone zone till March 28.

The order is applicable from January 29.

An order issued by Joint Commissioner of Police, Suti Dorje, also prohibited videography or taking of photographs in the area. The order was issued this week under Section 144 (1) (3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Violations of the conditions in the order would be sternly dealt with, the police official said.

“Any individual making a video or conducting drone videography may jeopardise the security of the RSS headquarters, and such actions will be treated seriously under Section 188 of the IPC,” the police official said.

The heavy police presence aims to enforce these restrictions and ensure the safety of the area surrounding the RSS headquarters.

The RSS headquarters, located in a densely populated area surrounded by hotels, lodges and coaching classes, will continue to be under vigilant police guard to maintain the highest standards of security.
