So far 125 prisoners in different districts of UP have been set free through legal aid of the civil rights group
NEW DELHI —Four prisoners were released from Lucknow District Jail in Uttar Pradesh on January 26, the day nation celebrated Republic Day. This could be possible thanks to the legal help of civil rights group, the Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR).
Those who got released are Yunus, Vishal, Javed and Santosh.
The UP unit of the APCR has been helping prisoners for a long time. So far it has helped release around 125 prisoners in different districts of UP.
The APCR provides legal aid and guidance to poor and backward people, who become victims of injustice for various reasons.
The APCR comes forward to help such jailed victims and helps them to restart their normal life. It gives legal help to such victims.
APCR works for the poor and marginalized section of society.
APCR’s UP unit Secretary Advocate Najmussaquib Khan thanked jail officials for their cooperation in his organisations efforts.
Jail officials K. K. Gupta, Prem Lata, Ajay Ray and APCR office-bearers Najmussaquib Khan, Shane Ilahi, and Sajid Khan were present at the time the prisoners were released.
