BHOPAL — In yet another inhumane act in Madhya Pradesh, a youth belonging to minority community was beaten up in Dabra locality of Gwalior district and forced to lick the sole of a person’s foot.
Two persons have been arrested after a video gone viral showing a few youths assaulting a youth from minority community, identified as Mohsin Khan, in a moving car in Gwalior.Â
Golu Gurjar and his friends are seen in the video thrashing Mohsin with slippers and forcing him to lick his feet while abusing him inside a moving vehicle.
The viral video shows the victim being slapped several times by another man, who also forces the victim to say “Golu Gurjar baap hai” (Golu Gurjar is father) in a moving vehicle.
The victim is then seen licking the soles of the feet of the man after the latter forces him to do so. The accused is also seen thrashing the victim on his face repeatedly with a footwear and verbally abusing him.
As is reported in the media, there was an old dispute between the victim and the accused. The accused had asked Mohsin, to meet them near the Gwalior collector’s office to resolve the issue.
When Mohsin reached there, he was asked to sit inside the vehicle after which they drove towards Dabra. In the moving vehicle the accused started thrashing him with slippers and even forced him to lick feet.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said the local police have arrested the two persons seen beating and abusing the victim, according to reports.
Dabra Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Vivek Kumar Sharma said, “A video went viral on social media on Friday evening that shows a man being thrashed in a vehicle. The video clip is being sent for a forensic examination.” A case has been registered against the accused under relevant provisions of Indian Penal Code for abduction and beating following the complaint of the victim’s family, Sharma said.
