MUMBAI – Claims of a Muslim woman abandoned by her Hindu husband after eight years of their marriage have sent shockwaves in the community.
Shazia, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, claims that she has been left in the lurch by her husband who ordered her to get out of their home after he married another woman.
The distressing revelation comes amidst growing concerns over alleged instances of Muslim girls being ensnared in what is referred to as the “saffron love trap.”
Activist Kashif Arsalan brought attention to Shazia’s plight by sharing a video on social media platform X, captioned, “After 8 years of love and marriage, Shazia alleges abandonment by her Hindu husband.” In the video, Shazia narrates her ordeal, stating that after eight years of being together, her husband informed her of his marriage to another woman.

She said, “Uday Bhayya Jaishree Ram, my name is Shazia. I have been married for 8 years, but after 8 years, my husband is telling me to go home because he is in love with another girl, and he is also saying that he has married her.”
