10th All India Business Summit concludes in Kolkata with focus on businesswomen

NEW DELHI – Maeeshat Media recently felicitated entrepreneurs belonging to minority communities with business awards which were given away at the 10th All India Minorities Business Summit held in Kolkata.

The awards were given in as many as nine different categories. The pick of them was the Maeeshat Best Eduprenuer Award to M Nurul Islam, the founder secretary of the prestigious Al Ameen Mission that has been providing modern education and career coaching to lakhs of students in West Bengal in a residential system with prime focus on poor and meritorious students.

Maeeshat Media Pvt. Ltd is India’s first media outlet dedicated to covering economic activities of minority communities. On November 14, it organised its 10 annual summit at Kolkata’s Kala Mandir. The summit was attended by over 300 business leaders, delegates, entrepreneurs and social workers from across the country. The year’s summit had special focus on ensuring the participation of women entrepreneurs.

The Maeeshat Media awards were given away in association with Aerotech Eng. Works Pvt. Ltd as sponsor partner. The event was co-organised by Tameer Educational & Welfare Trust and Indian Institute of Research and Career Design 360.

The Entrepreneur of the year 2021 Award was given to M Azizurrahman, Director of the Starling Silk Mills Pvt. Ltd, Kolkata, one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of a wide range of silk products.

Recipients of Maeeshat Awards with the organisers of 10th All India Minorities Business Summit and National Brand Awards for 2021 held in Kolkata on November 14.

The award for the Social Entrepreneur of the year 2021 was presented to Naiyer Fatmi, Managing Director, Alkhair Cooperative Credit Society Ltd, Patna, an interest-free micro-finance institution committed to fighting poverty and supporting minorities’ businesses.

Aspiration Classes from Kolkata, providing expert coaching to medical, engineering, and management aspirants, bagged the Best Startup 2021 Award. At the same time, the Fastest-Growing Company of the year 2021 Award went to Kolkata-based Omer Retail, manufacturer of men’s Kurta and Sherwani.

Khaitan-Ekla Chalo, a footwear giant headquartered in Kolkata, received the Best Customer-Friendly Company 2021. The Rehbar Financial Services from Bengaluru, Karnataka, working to enhance Sharia-compliant value creation for businesses, took home the Promoting Halal Company of the Year Award.

Two media brands were also among the awardees. The Daily Puber Kalom, a Bengali language daily newspaper published from Kolkata, was adjudged the Emerging Local Media Brand of the Year 2021, while an Urdu daily from Ranchi, the Jadeed Bharat, featured as the Emerging Local Media Brand of the Year 2021 for the states of Bihar and Jharkhand.

All the awards were given amidst thunderous applause from the audience, who were enthused by the skillful hosting of Danish Reyaz, Director and Managing Editor of Maeeshat Media Pvt. Ltd.

Over the years, Maeeshat has been at the forefront of spotting and promoting business talents and brands from within the minority communities. Every year it organises business summits and award functions in different cities like Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru so that various economic professionals, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and others from across the country gather at one place and discuss ideas and strategies to grow their ventures as well as help minorities to break free from the clutches of poverty.
