HYDERABAD — CPI national general Secretary, S. Sudhakar Reddy, appealed to all left democratic and secular forces to join hands to resist the onslaught of BJP on democracy, reports Telangana Today.
He proposed a resistance movement to defend the Constitution and democracy. “This is not a grand alliance for election but a movement to save democracy”, he said.
Speaking to press-persons here on Saturday, Reddy deplored the utter disregard of the Modi government to democratic principles. He strongly condemned the formation of government by BJP in Goa and Manipur even though it secured less seats than the Congress. “Never in independent India any Prime Minister sunk to such depths as Modi in the recent elections”, the CPI leader remarked.
