Jamiat Extends Rs 1 Lakh Aid Each to Kin of Martyred Ranchi Boys

NEW DELHI — Muhammad Mudassir and Mohammad Sahil were killed by police firing in Ranchi during a protest against derogatory remarks on Prophet Muhammad. A delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind led by General Secretary of JUH Maulana Hakeemuddin Qasmi met the aggrieved families of the deceased.


Meanwhile, the video footage of heart-rending tales of the mothers has impacted the whole country. It is to be noted here that Mudassar was the lone son of his parents.


In this background, Maulana Mahmood Madani, President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, has demanded that the Chief Minister of Jharkhand should identify the culprits who shot dead the innocent boys and take stringent action against them.


He has also demanded reasonable financial compensation for the families of the deceased. Maulana Madani has also decided to give Rs 1 lakh each to the families of the slain. Following his decision, Rs. 200,000 was transferred from the office of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind to the bank account of the families of these two martyrs.


The Jamiat president has expressed his hope that the committee formed by the Chief Minister will conduct a fair inquiry and submit a report soon so that the culprits could be brought to justice.


In Ranchi, Maulana Asrarul Haq Mazahiri, President Jamiat Ulama Jharkhand, Dr Asghar Misbahi, General Secretary Jamiat Ulama Jharkhand, Maulana Muhammad Qasmi, rector Madrassa Hussainiya Kadru, Ranchi, Iqbal Imam, Mufti Qamar Alam, Qari Asjad, Tanveer Ahmed, Shah Umair etc. have been constantly monitoring the situation over there. Legal assistance will also be provided to the affected persons when needed.
