THOUSANDS WATCH THE THRILLING DISPLAY IN THE SKY FROM THE VANTAGE POINT OF SKYVIEW’S GRANDSTAND

DUBAI, Nov 20 – Yesterday saw the launch of a landmark event at the Dubai Airshow. Skyview, which is designed for the public to enjoy the flying displays of the Dubai Airshow, proved a huge success, drawing thousands of people to its grandstand, located right next to the runway. Skyview is open until November 21, from 12-6pm, with the flying displays from 2-5pm daily.

Seated in Skyview, crowds got direct views of the thrilling action of the Al Fursan, the UAE aerobatic team, the legendary Red Arrows, and astonishing displays by some of the world’s best pilots manning a list of impressive aircraft that the Dubai Airshow has become renowned for staging.  Boeing’s F/A 18 Super Hornet, Eurofighter Typhoon and, new to the gulf region, Airbus’s A400M were among those presented.

F&E Aerospace, organizers of Skyview have worked with partners such as KidZania, Gulf News and Accor Hotels to ensure visitors to Skyview are treated to a host of games and activities to keep both families and aviation enthusiasts enthralled.

Wednesday’s Skyview entertainment includes an exclusive visit at 3pm, November 20, of the UK’s Royal Air Force aerobatic team, the Red Arrows, who will meet and mingle with the crowd.
