Haryana Official Who Issued Notices to Panchayats Over Ban on Muslims Transferred

Rewari Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Imran Raza was sent to Jind in a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the state. In all 16 IAS officers, including deputy commissioners of seven districts and municipal commissioners of a few districts, were transferred.

NEW DELHI — Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Rewari in the violence-torn state of Haryana, Mohammed Imran Raza, who recently issued showcase notices to various sarpanches and panchayat members for passing resolutions banning the entry of Muslims into their villages, was on Saturday transferred to Jind.

Raza’s transfer is part of a major bureaucratic reshuffle wherein the Haryana government transferred 16 IAS officers, including deputy commissioners of seven districts and municipal commissioners of a few districts, media reports said.

Raza took over as Rewari DC in April.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Rewari in the violence-torn state of Haryana, Mohammed Imran Raza transferred to Jind.

The state government said it was a “routine transfer/posting” of IAS and Haryana Civil Services (HCS) officers. The transfer orders were issued by Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, the Indian Express report said.

Apart from Raza, Sushil Sarwan was posted as Panchkula DC and chief administrator of the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board in Panchkula; Manoj Kumar has been posted as DC, Yamunanagar; Mandeep Kaur as DC, Charkhi Dadri; Manoj Kumar as DC, Sonipat; Rahul Hooda as DC, Rewari; and Prashant Panwar as DC, Fatehabad.

Sanjay Joon has been posted as managing director of the Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills and as director general of the Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Haryana and secretary to the government, Haryana Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department.

A Mona Sreeniwas has been posted as commissioner of the Faridabad Municipal Corporation. She will continue to hold the charge of the additional resident commissioner, Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi.

Ripudaman Singh Dhillon has been posted as director of elementary education, Haryana, and special secretary to the government, Haryana School Education Department. He will continue to hold the charge of secretary of the Haryana State Commission for Scheduled Castes.

Ashok Kumar Garg has been posted as commissioner of the Manesar Municipal Corporation while Jitender Kumar has been posted as district municipal commissioner of Rohtak and commissioner of the Rohtak Municipal Corporation.

Mahavir Kaushik has been posted as special secretary to the Haryana Urban Local Bodies Department and will continue to hold the charge of the special secretary to the government, Haryana Home-I Department.

Dr. Priyanka Soni has been posted as director of the Haryana Medical Education and Research Department while Preeti has been posted as administrator of the Haryana Shahri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) and additional director of Urban Estate, Rohtak. A 2017 batch IAS officer, Sahil Gupta has been posted as additional deputy commissioner-cum-district citizen resources information officer, Palwal and Palwal district municipal commissioner.

Twenty-eight HCS officers were also transferred.
