After Killing 3 Children, Hyderabadi Woman Attempts Suicide in S. Arabia, Probe On

Date:

HYDERABAD – A woman from Hyderabad has been accused of killing her three children in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, before allegedly attempting to take her own life on Tuesday.

The woman, identified as Syeda Humera Amreen, originally from Mohammadi Lines in Tolichowki, is alleged to have drowned her twin sons, Sadeq and Adel (7), and her younger son Yousuf (3), in the bathtub of their residence. She reportedly tried to end her life soon after, according to family sources quoted in Telangana Today.

Her husband, Mohammed Shahnawaz, discovered the children dead upon returning home from work and immediately alerted Saudi Police.

Initial information suggests that Amreen and her children were staying in the Kingdom on a visit visa. Police in Al Khobar have opened an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.

Family members told media outlets that Amreen had been experiencing mental health challenges and feelings of isolation, with domestic disputes also suspected to have played a role.
