NEW DELHI – A day after issuing a threat against Rajasthan police, another Hindu Mahapanchayat was organized by Hindutva groups in Haryana to support the accused who abducted and burned the two Muslim men to death in Bhiwani on 15th February.
The Mahapanchayat titled ‘Hindu Hunkar’ was organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
A video of the Mahapanchayat also surfaced on social media which reportedly took place in Hatheen village of Palwal district on Wednesday.
In the viral video, speakers can be seen warning the police for taking any action against the accused.
Sumedha Pal, a journalist shared the video on her Twitter handle informing that Mahapanchayat was held in Bhiwani, Sohna and other locations.
Addressing a large gathering, a speaker said “We will not allow you to lay your hands on these ‘Gau Rakshaks’. We will not allow you to do what you want. We will wipe off the sin of cow slaughter from the earth of Mewat. Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.
Amid the slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, he said, “People from Mewat cannot flee anywhere after slaughtering cows.
An announcement was also made from the stage to organize Mahapanchayats in support of ‘Gau Rakshak’ across Haryana.
Earlier on Tuesday, a Mahapanchayat was held in Haryana’s Manesar in which provocative statements and slogans were made.
Kulbhushan Bhardwaj, Former President of the district bar association in Gurgaon said, “This case is not just against Monu and his associates, this is the case against the entire Hindu society”
He further targeting the Rajasthan police said, “…in this (false) case, if Rajasthan police harass our associates or their families, they should listen… ye Rajasthan police is maamle mein aegi toh apne paaon se, lekin wapis apne paaon se nahi jaa paegi (If Rajasthan police set foot in Manesar to arrest Monu, they will not return on their own feet).”
Bhardwaj who was one of the organisers of the Mahapanchayat has a history of leading the protests against Namaz.
The Mahapanchayat held in Manesar has received criticism and flak for making provocative statements about the police.
Congress leader Abhishek Manusinghvi took it to Twitter and said “Disgusting 2 hear of #monu Manesar’s dastardly acts; worse to hear mahapanchayat brazen speeches in support! Is this the true idea of the new India? Is this Gandhiji’s India? How can the law be suspended in name of gauraksha; how can murder be justified or camouflaged with religion?”
On Tuesday, Delhi-Jaipur National Highway was briefly blocked by the supporters of Monu Manesar, who is an accused in the killing of Junaid and Nasir in Bhiwani.
Manesar is the main face and self-proclaimed leader of Cow Vigilante groups in Mewat, Haryana and adjacent areas.
