All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that Muslims in India are being subjected to the same kind of treatment as were Jews during the time of Hitler.
“Muslims in today’s India are in a situation similar to that of the Jews during Hitler’s era,” said Owaisi in conversation with news agency ANI.
His remarks came after he targetted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his “infiltrators” remarks and accused Modi of creating hatred to win the election.
“The Prime Minister of 133 crore Indian is calling 17 crore Muslims as infiltrators. Why is PM Modi out to insult the Muslim community? Why is there so much hatred?,” Owaisi was quoted as saying by ANI.
His remarks came while addressing a public meeting at Yakutpura Assembly constituency.
“Are Muslims not part of India if they do not vote for you. What right does the PM have to call the Muslims, constituting 14 percent of the population, infiltrators? And accuse the Muslim women for producing more children,” Owaisi had stated.
Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi suggested that if the Congress comes to power, it would redistribute wealth of people to Muslims and cited former PM Manmohan Singh’s remark that the minority community had the first claim on the country’s resources.
“The Congress manifesto says they will calculate the gold with mothers and sisters, get information about it and then distribute that property. They will distribute it to whom – Manmohan Singh’s government had said that Muslims have the first right on the country’s assets,” Modi claimed.
Recently, Owaisi also lashed out at Modi over the suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna. The AIMIM chief alleged that the PM was aware of JD (S) Lok Sabha MP Prajwal Revanna’s “dirty acts”, but went ahead to campaign for him.
“He (Prajwal) made 2000 videos of helpless women who are distressed and oppressed… Modi went and sought votes for him. The tamasha is that when the videos surfaced he (Revanna) fled to Germany overnight,” charged Owaisi.
Several video clips allegedly involving Prajwal Revanna sexually abusing hundreds of women had started doing the rounds in Hassan district in Karnataka
