Palestine Solidarity Group Seeks Urgent Endorsements to Free Madleen Activists

Date:

NEW DELHI – Palestine Solidarity Group (PSG) and National Alliance of People’s Movements (NAPM) on Tuesday launched a signature campaign to secure the Madleen ship and its cargo, and also to ensure the release of detained activists and take diplomatic action to ensure Israel’s accountability for genocide and war crimes in Palestine. The urgent letter will be sent to British High Commission Offices across India.

In an appeal, PSG and NAPM urged the concerned citizens across India to urgently endorse this letter, calling upon the British government to act immediately — to free the activists-detainees, recover the Madleen ship and its aid, and hold Israel accountable for war crimes and genocide.

“As we all are aware, on 9th June, 2025, Israel abducted 12 international solidarity activists from the UK-flagged Madleen in international waters — for attempting to deliver food, baby formula, and medicine to Palestinians facing forced mass starvation in Gaza. The ship was part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition’s humanitarian mission, and its interception is a direct attack on international law, civilian solidarity, and the right to resist genocide,” the letter said.

The brave activists aboard the Madleen acted where governments failed, it said. “Let us respond with the strength of our movements behind them,” it added.

Signed letters will be sent to the British High Commission in New Delhi and the British Deputy High Commissions in Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Chandigarh, and elsewhere in person and through e-mail.

Please read the letter and endorse using the form linked below. The form closes at 4 pm on Tuesday.
