NEW DELHI: Hyderabad MP and All India Majlis-e Ittehauld Muslimeen president, Asaduddin Owaisi asked seven questions to Prime Minister Narendra while speaking in the Lok Sabha on Friday.
Cornering the Modi government, Owaisi, while addressing to PM Modi, said: You had said you want to see Quran and computer in the hands of Muslim children. Why has the allocation for pre- and post-matric scholarship for minority children hasn’t been changed since 2013?
Third-time Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad, Owaisi asked: Do you want a Congress-mukt Bharat or a Muslim & Dalit-mukt Bharat? The present dispensation has created an atmosphere of hatred in the country.
Why was the judge, who diluted the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities Act, appointed the chairperson of National Green Tribunal? You don’t have the guts to promulgate an ordinance against dilution of the Act.
Owaisi also said that PM Modi’s aggressive foreign trips costing around Rs 1500 crores to the public exchequer were futile exercise given India’s relations with its neighboring countries.
“The PM has spent Rs 1400 crore on foreign trips but what is the result? Neighboring countries like Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Bangladesh are tilted towards China,” said Owaisi.
He also said that the Modi government has done little for jobs to minorities.
“The government, in its 15-point programme, promised jobs to minorities in the railways, central paramilitary forces and other public sector units, but has not given even 1 per cent jobs to the minorities,” said Owaisi who was speaking in favor of the no-confidence motion against the Modi government.
