Muslim Girl Stabbed to Death While on a Morning Walk in Darbhanga, Bihar

NEW DELHI —A Muslim girl, out on her usual morning walk in Bihar’s Darbhanga on Wednesday, was killed after repeatedly being stabbed with a knife.

According to reports reaching here on Friday Roshni Parveen was accosted by one Amlesh Yadav who offered him a fierce resistance. Mad at his advances being spurned, Yadav took out a knife and attacked the hapless girl repeatedly resulting in her death.

In a video posted on Instagram by News Post, the grieving family of Parveen shed detailed light on the incident.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation and raised concerns over safety and communal harmony in the area.

According to local sources, the incident occurred in the wee hours near Chandni Chowk, a popular walking spot in Darbhanga. Parveen, a college student, was known for her active participation in community events.

Preliminary reports suggest the possibility of personal enmity or a targeted attack due to religious or social factors. The exact motive behind the incident is not clear.

The local police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Senior officials have assured swift action to apprehend the perpetrators, according to media reports.

Parveen’s family expressed deep concern over the incident, appealing for justice and urging authorities to ensure such incidents do not recur.
