Labbaik VR: Pakistani Startup’s Hajj, Umrah Training Simulator World’s First

LABBAIK VR is world’s first fully-developed Virtual Reality (VR) Hajj Simulator, to ease first-time pilgrims’ anxieties and train them for their spiritual journey

THE Labbaik VR Pvt Ltd of Pakistan are the developers of state-of-the-art 3D Virtual Reality Hajj and Umrah Simulator, Labbaik VR.

A high-end virtual reality simulator used for training hajj pilgrims, Labbaik VR is a groundbreaking app considered a timely spectacular development specially for those planning to perform their first Hajj this year.

The innovative virtual reality app by a startup is a first of its kind in the world, observers say.

The simulator will allow Hajj pilgrims to train via immersive virtual reality-powered tools, realistic tours of sacred sites, and libraries, for guidance to promote convenience and accessibility.

For those planning to perform their first Hajj or Umrah, Labbaik VR will orient and educate the first-time pilgrims.

The app has a series of benefits and training tools for extensive guidance on Hajj rites, the background of religious sites, and much more.

Labbaik VR will also provide a real-time tracking feature in order to promote accessibility and connectivity among groups of Hajj or Umrah pilgrims as they travel between the sacred sites from Madinah to Makkah.

“Now, for the first time, we will train 5,000 pilgrims using our simulator app,” Shahriar Ashraf, the CEO of VR venture said.

“We have completed talks with the religious affairs ministry for this pilot project and expect to inaugurate it next month.”

Ashraf added that the company will provide dongles powered with the app to private companies organizing Hajj so they can train their pilgrims before commencing the pilgrimage.

Saudi Arabia this year issued more than 7.46m Umrah visas so far– the largest number of pilgrims are from Pakistan followed by Indonesia and India.

Saudi Arabia increased the Hajj quota for Pakistan from 184,210 to 200,000 in February this year.

According to industry observers, the Labbaik VR will prove to be a powerful tool for the pilgrims, including promoting connectivity among them and making it easier to avoid getting lost.

“Pakistan is also making religious tourism one of its top priority. Such a VR could also be beneficial for first-time tourists coming in the country,” said one expert. — PKONWEB Report
