KOLKATA — Trinamool Congress leader and state minister Purnendu Basu has blamed Hindu-right group RSS for the bomb blast at the Dum Dum Nagar bazar in the capital city in which one person was reportedly killed and some others were wounded.
The blast occurred at 9:30 AM on Tuesday leaving several people seriously wounded. One of the injured died at hospital.
On the site of the blast, police have recovered iron nails. The blast took place outside a fruit shop.
“It was a high-intensity blast. 4 people seriously injured, 6 injured. Found some iron nails but can’t ascertain cause of blast yet as there is no smell of gunpowder,” ANI quoted the local police.

Commenting on the blast, minister Purnendu Basu said: “I think this type of blast is similar to the ones carried out by RSS elsewhere.”
