Karnataka: Government forms SIT to Investigate Alleged Covid-19 Scandal During BJP Regime

BENGALURU — The Karnataka government has decided to investigate alleged irregularities in COVID-19 treatment and procurement that reportedly occurred during the BJP’s term.

The Michael D. Cunha Commission, previously appointed to look into the matter, has submitted an interim report to the state government, reported Vartha Bharati.

Following a cabinet meeting, Law Minister H.K. Patil addressed the media, stating, “Numerous complaints have been registered regarding irregularities in the purchase of PPE kits and medicines during the pandemic. The cabinet has approved the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe these allegations.”
