AURANGABAD – Pade village in Dindori tehsil of Nashik district in Maharashtra was rocked by violence on Monday as a group of  Qadianis allegedly attacked Muslim homes.  The violence left about ten persons, including some women, injured.

The group of Qadianis wielding swords  allegedly broke into Muslim residences and attacked the inhabitants. It is still not clear what provoked the Qadianis to attack the Muslims.

Both the groups have filed complaints against each other. The Cantonment Police swiftly intervened, arresting 38 individuals involved in the clash. The situation in the area is reported to be under control at present.

The conflict between the Qadianis and Muslims in the region is not new, with historical tensions and past incidents of violence. The Qadianis have been accused of trying to dominate the Muslim community, often using issues related to women and girls as a pretext for clashes. Previous instances of rioting and torture by Qadianis against Muslims have been reported, leading to a deterioration of the situation in the area.

The police took a prompt action as stones were also allegedly thrown at Muslim houses in the village. The incident has reignited concerns over communal harmony, and the authorities are being urged to address the root causes of such clashes.

Influential political activist Afsar Khan has raised alarm over the deliberate exclusion of prominent names from the list of those arrested, raising suspicion of bias against the Muslim community. Additionally, there are claims that high-profile individuals associated with the Qadianis have been visiting hospitals and influencing medical staff not to provide medical aid to the injured.

Authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident, addressing concerns of biased actions and ensuring justice for all. The situation is being closely monitored to prevent any further escalation of tensions in the area.
