NEW DELHI — The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the registration window for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2025), which is crucial for admission to undergraduate courses in several prominent universities across India, including Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), and other central institutions. It offers a vital opportunity to students, particularly Muslims, to pursue higher education and build a brighter future.

With the application process starting on March 1, and continuing until March 22, candidates who have completed or are currently pursuing their 12th grade are eligible to apply. The CUET UG exam, which will take place between May 8 and June 1, is designed to provide access to undergraduate programmes in 46 central universities, including the esteemed AMU and JMI, two institutions that have long played a significant role in the educational and social empowerment of Muslim students.

Experts have strongly advised Muslim students to take full advantage of the CUET UG 2025 registration, highlighting the importance of education in uplifting the community. “Education is a powerful tool for empowerment. It opens doors to opportunities and helps in breaking barriers,” said Dr. Ahmad Javed, an education specialist. “For Muslim students, especially those aiming for a quality education in institutions like AMU and Jamia, this entrance exam is a crucial stepping stone.”

Dr. Javed further stressed that the Muslim community must continue prioritising education to ensure future progress. “It is essential that Muslim students focus on this opportunity to secure a place in these reputed institutions. It will not only enhance their personal growth but also contribute to the betterment of the community as a whole.”

Muslim students and educators across the country have welcomed the opening of registration for CUET UG 2025, recognising its importance for access to higher education.

“This is an excellent chance for us to showcase our abilities and secure a future in some of the best institutions in the country,” said Zainab Khan, a student from Delhi. “AMU and Jamia are two of the most important universities for Muslim students, and this exam will help us take a step towards our academic dreams.”

Similarly, many parents have expressed their hopes that their children will be able to pursue quality education in such institutions. “I want my son to study at Jamia Millia Islamia. It has a legacy of producing brilliant minds, and I believe this exam will help him get there,” said Mohammad Arif, father of a 12th-grade student from Uttar Pradesh. “The CUET exam is a golden opportunity, and we encourage other parents in the Muslim community to guide their children in properly applying for the same.”

In a similar vein, Dr. Ayesha Siddiqui, a professor at Jamia Millia Islamia, emphasised the significance of this entrance exam for Muslim students. “In today’s world, education is the key to success. The CUET exam is a vital tool for Muslim students to enter universities like Jamia and AMU, where they can gain the skills needed to succeed in any field.” She added that institutions like Jamia provide an inclusive atmosphere that helps students from various backgrounds thrive.

This year, the CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted in 13 languages, including Urdu, reflecting the diversity of candidates from across India. The exam will consist of 37 subjects, offering students a chance to showcase their talent in domain-specific subjects, languages, and general aptitude tests.
