NEW DELHI — Even though the Election Commission delayed announcement of poll dates for three hours on Saturday allegedly in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Rajasthan, a big opinion poll in the evening predicted ouster for Modi’s BJP not only in Rajasthan but also in two other states where the saffron party is in power for around two decades.

Assembly polls are going to be held in November-December in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Telangana – BJP is in power in the first three while Congress is ruling in Mizoram and TRS in Telangana.

ABP TV news channel in collaboration with C-Voter carried an extensive on-field opinion from 1-30 September in BJP-ruled Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

As per the survey results, Congress will oust BJP in all three states and form government with clear majority. The best performance of Congress will be in Rajasthan where the party will win 142 seats in the 200-member Assembly, leaving the ruling BJP around 50. Congress will also form government in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
