Bhopal Chapter of AMP Decorated with Three Awards

BHOPAL – The Bhopal Chapter of Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) has been decorated with three Awards namely: 1. AMP Special award; 2. Outstanding performer award to Rafat Iqbal Farooqui and 3. IZC Special Award to Ms Rashida Khan.

The awards were presented in the National Executive Meet (NEM) – 2025 of AMP on February 8 & 9 at the Anjuman-i-Islam Campus in Mumbai. The meeting was organised to conduct a review of the AMP Organisations’ achievements during 2024 and to plan the activities and projects for 2025.

Head of Bhopal Chapter Rafat Iqbal Farooqui after receiving the awards told this correspondent that the event was absolutely phenomenal and the surprise announcements left him thrilled.

Aamir Edresy, president of AMP, set the tone for the 2-day deliberations. He said: “Today AMP has reached a position, where the community trusts it immensely and looks up to it for Education & Empowerment. We need to increase our reach and membership so that more professionals and volunteers can devote time for social development.”

Edresy said that AMP will present a 25-year roadmap to uplift the community in various forums so that it can work in collaboration and focused manner. He further said that each one of us will be questioned on the Day of Judgment as to what we did with the time and resources that Allah SWT had blessed us with.

Farooq Siddiqui, Head of AMP National Coordination Team, who hosted the meet, welcomed all the participants and appreciated the Mumbai Chapter team and AMP Mumbai Office team for organising the meeting at such a short notice. He appealed all delegates to take AMP social development and nation building projects to every town of the country.

Razak Shaikh, Head – AMP Projects, while briefing the participants on the achievements of 2024 and the plans for 2025 said: “We AMPians get a lot of accolades from our community, but internally we know how much we have achieved our potential. We need to ask ourselves whether we have done enough to uplift our needy brethren.”

Kausar Tai, a UK-based Positive Coach and Management and Training Consultant, made a special presentation for the participants where he spoke about the need to be sincere in one’s efforts and to do those for the sake of Almighty Allah and as per the model set by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
