Hafiz Syed Zaid Sadiq had earlier scored 95 per cent in his Class 10 examinations, further strengthening his academic record. In both sessions of JEE Main, his percentile remained above 99, highlighting his consistency.

MUMBAI — A 15-year-old student from Nashik has drawn attention after securing an impressive score in one of India’s toughest entrance examinations, while also completing his religious studies at a young age.

Hafiz Syed Zaid Sadiq scored a remarkable 99.927 percentile in JEE Main 2026 (Session 2), emerging as the top scorer from Nashik. He is a student of Ashoka College.

Zaid had already memorised the Quran by the age of 15, balancing religious education with school studies and preparation for competitive exams. His performance in JEE Main reflects sustained discipline and consistent effort.

According to his family, his success followed months of focused preparation with strong parental support. His father, Syed Sadiq, and mother, Syed Zauqiya, played a key role in guiding him and helping him maintain a balance between academics and religious learning.

He also comes from a family with a background in education. Zaid is the grandson of the late Syed Sattar Ali Roshan, a former municipal school head teacher known locally for his contribution to education.

Zaid completed his early religious studies through various madrasas. Due to time constraints during his school years, he memorised the Quran at home with the help of a tutor under his mother’s supervision while in Class 9.

He had earlier scored 95 per cent in his Class 10 examinations, further strengthening his academic record. In both sessions of JEE Main, his percentile remained above 99, highlighting his consistency.

A teacher from his college said, “He has shown that with proper time management, students can excel in both academics and religious studies. His focus and routine were very strong.”

Zaid is now preparing for JEE Advanced and hopes to secure admission to an Indian Institute of Technology.

Following his result, congratulatory messages have poured in from across Nashik, with many wishing him success in the next stage of his academic journey.
