WASHINGTON — The White House on Tuesday shared a video showing illegal immigrants being deported to their countries. The video titled “ASMR: Illegal Alien Deportation Flight” shows illegal immigrants boarding a deportation flight in shackles.

The 41-second video has close-up shots of shackles and handcuffs, US security officials and deportees walking up the steps of the aircraft. The flight shown in the video departed from Seattle, reported CNBC News. The video also shows officers chaining the deportees. The faces of the deportees were not shown in the video.

The video was first posted by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)’s Seattle office. “REMOVAL FLIGHT A group of undocumented aliens are flown from Seattle as part of a process to finalise return to their home countries,” it tweeted.

The White House house video drew reactions online regarding the use of the term ASMR. Billionaire also reacted to the video. He wrote, ““Haha wow.”

Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR), the term used in the X post by the White House is a tingling and relaxing sensation. Stimuli that can trigger ASMR are whispering voices, listening to mouth sounds, watching somebody attentively execute a mundane task, and Listening to the sound of rainfall. The ASMR can create a relaxing effect similar to listening to a lullaby or a light massage on the scalp. The White House using the term ASMR suggests that the sounds of shackles and chains are likely to evoke a similar feeling.

Notably, after assuming office on January 20, Donald Trump has increased deportations of illegal immigrants from the United States. Trump has pledged to carry out the largest deportation in American history as part of his strict immigration policies targeting approximately 11 million undocumented migrants.

As per reports, the US has plans to deport illegal migrants from El Paso, Texas and San Diego and California.
