BADRI RAINA | Caravan Daily
Nowadays watch dogs do not bark
Which makes those few that do
Precious beyond compare
As they dig in and take on a slew
Of emboldened hounds that gather fast
From mountain top to valley,
Baring fangs that new-fangled gods
Bless and sharpen daily.
Beasts of burden work their days
Largely without fodder,
With no hope that care will come
With next imperial order.
But never scoff at the lowly hornet,
And the industrious bee;
When pushed by power-drunk predators
Their rage can be something to see.
