NEW DELHI – A video of a mother congratulating her minor son for memorizing the Holy Qur’an has been shared by Hindutva supporters with the fake claim that they were getting married.
The disgusting claim of the Muslim mother-son marriage was exposed by prominent fact-checker Mohammed Zubair on X.
Shweta Shrivastava, a woman who described herself “andh bhakt” (blind supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi), posted a video showing a mother hugging her son wearing a skull-cup. An embedded text claims that a woman named Zeenat Jahan solemnised her marriage with her eldest son in Kerala after her husband’s death.
Posting the video, Shrivastava, who is being followed by Prime Minister Modi on X, said referring to Muslims if “this is the beauty of your religion, nothing can be done about you people.”
Before the fake claim was exposed, the video has gained massive reactions on social media. The video has been watched by more than three lakh times on the account of Shrivastava, who has around 55,000 followers. It was reposted by around 2,000 users, quoted by 170 and liked by about 5,000 people.
“The video of Mother congratulating Son after completion of the Qur’an is shared with a false claim that a Muslim woman married her son. This account @swetasamadhiya is followed by PM Narendra Modi. Many such false claims were earlier shared by right-wing accounts,” posted Zubair.

Samajwadi Party leader Shahid Siddique said: “Their minds are so dirty and their fantasies so weird that they can’t imagine anything else but sex and sex. Love doesn’t exist in their world. If a brother embraces sister Priyanka, if Nehru embraces sister Vijay Laxmi their dirty mind thinks of only one thing. How sick can they be??”
Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said the people who have spread the fake report are monsters and they are not worth living in a society.
“BJP supporters have become disgusting by spewing venom on Hindu-Muslim issues. In one video, a mother is seen lovingly hugging her son after he completes the Qur’an. And the dirty supporters of the BJP are saying that the mother got married to her son. What rotten people they are. These monsters are not fit to live in society,” she said.
