US and Germany Fuel Israel’s Largest-Ever Weapons Airlift as 1,000th Plane Arrives

Date:

GAZA CITY — Israel’s Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday the arrival of the 1,000th weapon supply aircraft. The plane landed at Lod (Ben Gurion) Airport as part of an ongoing airlift that began on October 7 to reinforce Israel’s army with weapons and equipment.

Israeli media reported that the plane carried a large shipment of military gear. The operation is part of what officials describe as the largest logistical transfer in Israel’s history. The Defense Ministry and the Israeli army coordinated the unprecedented transfers across continents to meet the occupation state’s current and future needs.

According to the ministry, Israel has so far imported more than 120,000 tons of military equipment, ammunition, combat tools, and protective gear. These shipments arrived through 1,000 aircraft and about 150 cargo ships.

The ministry said the massive air and sea bridge operates through joint cooperation with the United States and Germany. The shipments include advanced munitions, weapons, armored vehicles, medical supplies, communication systems, and personal protective equipment for Israeli military.

Officials stressed that this supply network keeps Israel’s military system functioning at full capacity. It also replenishes emergency stockpiles and ensures fast delivery of equipment to its units in all areas.

Since he came to power, Donald Trump has sent an unprecedented volume of weapons to Israel, approving more than $8 billion in arms transfers that included tens of thousands of bombs, thousands of missile warheads, and over 20,000 assault rifles. His administration fast-tracked nearly every request, releasing stockpiled 2,000-pound MK-84 bombs and pushing forward massive packages such as a $3 billion shipment of heavy munitions and a $7.4 billion deal for precision-guided bombs and Hellfire missiles.

By early 2025, US military records showed Israel had already received or was awaiting over 35,000 heavy bombs and tens of thousands of rifles under Trump’s orders, a scale of armament that intensified Israel’s attacks and deepened Washington’s involvement in war crimes. — QNN
