AZAMGARH — Samajwadi Party MP (SPMP) Dharmendra Yadav has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attempting to seize Waqf properties through legal amendments and administrative manipulation. Speaking to the media at his residence on Saturday, Yadav launched a scathing attack on the state and central governments, questioning their policies regarding Waqf lands, unemployment, and the country’s economic condition.

Yadav alleged that BJP leaders are eyeing Waqf lands, which have been donated for religious and charitable purposes. “They want to grab the land by amending laws, using government officials, and placing their own people in Waqf committees,” he claimed. “But before discussing these issues, the government must answer when the unemployed will get jobs and when the income of farmers will increase.”

The MP further criticised the BJP’s economic policies, pointing out that the value of the Indian rupee has fallen drastically. “For the first time in 75 years of independence, the price of one dollar has reached Rs 88. The BJP had promised to bring back black money from Swiss banks in 100 days, but where is it?” he asked.

Raising concerns over the recent Maha Kumbh stampede, Yadav accused the government of withholding critical information. “The government has not yet provided clear figures on how many people died in the stampede. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is busy counting the number of bathers every day. If they can count the bathers, why can’t they count the dead?” he questioned.

The MP expressed fears that the missing persons from the stampede might have lost their lives. “Our party has also raised this issue in Parliament, but the government remains silent. The families of the missing deserve to know the truth,” he added.

Speaking about his party’s recent by-election defeat, Yadav accused the BJP of vote-rigging. “There were 500 written complaints submitted to the Election Commission regarding malpractices, but no action was taken,” he stated.

Yadav also criticised the government’s treatment of migrant workers, alleging that those who left their homes for livelihood are now being forced to return in chains, while the Prime Minister continues to foster relations with the United States. “In 75 years of independence, such an insult to the people of this country has never been witnessed before,” he lamented.
