Same Sex Marriages Await SC Nod: Health and Peace Watching Anxiously

Let’s hope that the Union government forcefully presents its case against same sex marriages, and the court decides the case purely on the basis of the highly dangerous consequences on life, family peace and social order

Let me begin this article with an excerpt from my book, “The Killer Sex” written about 20 years back.

“Hahahahahaaha…The devil is having a paroxysmal fit of laughter. He has every reason to guffaw on what his viceroys have achieved and are on the way to achieve. His Superexpress fuelled by sexoil is a stupendous success. Its every bogey is bringing a fresh entertainment to the garden. Every time a new bogey passes through the garden, the inhabitants dance with sheer delight; their delight makes the Devil ecstatic. He seems to say: “Mankind has no interest for the eternal peace, and they have joined my theatre and I will keep them too busy to think of anything else.”

Thanks to its insatiable lust for money and weakness for sex, mankind has prostrated before the Satan. Exceptions are there who still challenge him. But their challenge appears to have been fading. At present, at least. sex now rules the world. Had it been normal sex, it would not have been wholly unwelcome. Alas! It is the weird, abnormal, perverse and pervert sex. Sex that kills. Sex that torments. Sex that hammers. Sex that devastates. Sex that decimates. Sex that enslaves. It kills people, torments men and women, hammers children, devastates families and decimates moral and social fabric. “Free” sex does not free anybody. It enslaves humans in the chains of death and diseases. It makes them captives of their weaknesses. The merchants of sex have spread their tentacles so far and wide that it is nigh impossible for anyone to avoid the entrapment.

Revolution implies an extraordinary change. But the change is not always the antibiotic that kills infection and treats the disease. Instead, it may be the hypnotic that sedates, addicts and slowly poisons. For any colossal transformation to be valuable, it has to be for the better. If huge changes do not end into salubrious fruition, they have no credentials to be called a Revolution.

“Sexual Revolution” is in truth the nadir of human behaviour. It has proved to be not the antibiotic but hypnotic. It has heralded nemesis of individual’s peaceful existence, family’s peaceful sustenance and society’s peaceful countenance. It has derailed everybody from the right course, nailed every institution and failed every development; it has only bailed the merchants. It has made humanity look ludicrous; it has thinned to almost non-existence the demarcating line between human and animal. It has sacrificed abiding happiness at the altars of instant fun; and has crucified health on the cross of wealth. It has made character moribund by slaughtering the inspector of conscience that sustained it. It has pierced childhood, hanged womanhood and polluted manhood. It has snatched the apron of shyness that used to adore and protect woman and has transvested her in the lingerie of shamelessness. It has transfigured man from a lover and protector of woman to a mere usurper. It has made love without sex to look abnormal and ridiculous but sex without love to appear natural and admirable. It has reduced love to lovemaking and has made lovemaking a perpetual captive of unadulterated lust. It has trounced parenthood and transfixed childhood. It has buried fatherhood and sickened motherhood. It has bulldozed the world converting it into huge rubble of solace and brought the mankind on the verge of total collapse.

I wrote these words a long time back, but they keep lingering in my mind with a bigger intensity every day. Homosexuality is in news again. The Supreme Court of India is all set to pronounce judgement on a petition which wants it to declare same sex marriages legal. The Supreme Court has already legalised homosexuality. Though nothing can be predicted, if global trend is any indication, we can surmise what is in store. The so-called Sexual Revolution, fuelled by the forces of economics with the support of political forces and legal experts, is in full swing, and there are hardly any challenges to it. I would like to quote another paragraph from the same book:

Sexual Revolution has taught us that sex is not for life, but life is for sex. That sex must overrule every other consideration and overcome every obstacle in its way. If it is the custodian of law, it must learn to behave; if it is the inspector of religion, it has to be dismissed; and if it is the police of morality, it has to be confronted. It has made us believe that sex must not necessarily be between a human and a human; it can be between a human and an animal. That sex must not always require two sexes; it may be between a man and a man, and between a woman and a woman. That sex must not have to be between two adults: it may be between an adult and a child. That sex may not unfailingly involve those who are not linked by blood; it may involve a mother and a son, a father and a daughter and a brother and a sister. That sex should not always be limited to two individuals; many may join simultaneously. That sex must not necessarily use organs that are naturally meant for it; any organ that can be penetrated is fit for coitus. That sex must not necessarily be enjoyed away from the public gaze; it may be performed in front of their staring eyes and exhilarating hearts and brains. That sex must not necessitate any formal declaration; any two consenting individuals can have it without warranting any social or legal sanction. That, in extreme circumstances, sex does not even require consent; if one is smart enough to hoodwink the law or is bold enough to face it, one may even rape without fearing too much. That sex does not have to be for fulfilling one’s legitimate physical and psychological desires; it may also be for filling one’s coffer. That sex need not be the corollary of love; it may be purchased or sold in the market. That whatever comes in the way of sex must be mercilessly got away with even if it is a human-in-making. In nutshell, Sexual Revolution has convinced us that sex knows no bounds. The old saying must be redefined thus: everything is fair in love, sex and war.”

But the truths cannot be totally buried. And the facts are as follows:

* More than 3 million deaths every year are due to sex related ailments (40 million have died due to AIDS in last 35 years; HPV related Cancer Cervix and Heaptitis B kill hundreds of thousands every year.)

*More than 50 million cases of STDs

*More than 70 million of killings of humans-in-making by way of planned abortion (mostly the result of live-in relationships and promiscuity)

*Millions of rapes of women

*Millions of children being sexually abused

*Millions of families broken

*Hundreds of thousands of suicides and murders

*Millions of children living in single parent families

*Millions of women working as prostitutes and porn actors

*Hundreds of thousands of women working as club dancers, stripteasers and massagers

*Millions of people developing psychiatric illnesses owing to the problems related to sex or extramarital relationships.

Sex is not to be abhorred. It must be celebrated. But it has to be within the prescribed limits. On the basis of the effects of various forms of sex on health, family peace and law and order, we can make a list of prohibited, undesirable (but not prohibited) and desirable acts. A brief outline is as follows:

Prohibited

*Sex outside marriage

*Promiscuity

*Homosexuality and anal sex with wife

*Sex with animals

*Sex with children

*Incest

*Rape

*Mass sex

*Use of torture

Undesirable (highly undesirable but not punishable in the court))

*Oral Sex (especially ejaculation in the mouth)

*Sex during menses and postnatal period

Desirable

(All other forms of sex within marriage that give pleasure to both partners)

To meet the interminable demands, merchants are always ready to offer novelties to the customers. In order to compete with one another and to further swell their coffers, they began to popularise sexual perversions. Homosexuality was soon introduced as a new brand in the market. The combination of heterosexual and homosexual promiscuity would entrap almost everybody on the surface of the earth, at least in their calculations. It is to facilitate business that sturdy gay movements have been organised; and under their pressure, one government after the other has chosen to legalise it. Gay clubs and literature are now booming in almost every city of the Western world. Furthermore, while in Asian countries, homosexuality is not usually isolated, with most homosexuals also having heterosexual liaisons, in West, organised gay campaigns have led to exclusive homosexuality. Women too have not remained far behind, and lesbianism is also on the rise.

The demoniac march of commercialised sex has necessitated that all perversions must be considered “normal and natural” behaviour and any stigma associated with them should be struck with a fatal blow. The chiefs of homosexual net and their marshals have been advancing the nonsense argument that relations between two persons belonging to the same sex are natural as a sizeable percentage of human population has such propensities. The commercial convenience makes them forget that “natural” and “human” are not synonymous. The natural phenomena are essentially good for mankind; these defend humans against death, disease and destruction because they are aimed at a common rather than the individual good. Even when they seem to be destructive (natural tragedies), they are the manifestations of an effort on the part of the Nature to bring back the harmony that has somehow been disturbed. Natural tragedies are, therefore, aimed at averting bigger tragedies in the future. The human tendencies, on the other hand, are generally the result of self-gratification and tend to disturb the natural equilibrium. It is the human (not natural) weaknesses that have given rise to crimes, diseases and abnormal acts including sexual perversions. If homosexual proclivities are accepted as natural, murderous instincts and tendencies to rape, steal or impinge upon others’ rights must also be regarded natural. And if the latter deserve outright condemnation, reform and punishment, the former also require the same treatment.

Homosexual relations, particularly man to man relations, need to be confronted with utmost severity. Homosexuality is the most unhealthy and unhygienic of all forms of sexual relations, as it carries the highest risk in spreading infections. Syphilis, gonorrhea and AIDS – all have started in homosexuals and spread later to heterosexuals.

It is needless to say that the rise in demand of legalising homosexuality in the world has intensified with the rising fortunes of gay market. It is already a big market in the West.

The following arguments are being advanced in support of homosexuality:

1. That it exists since antiquity: a fallacious argument because all sins and crimes exist in human society since ancient times. On the contrary, it is right time to try to reduce them rather than glorify them if we want to present ourselves as progressive.

2. That it is nonsense to object if it is between two consenting adult individuals (as if consent makes every act right or legal. Then bribery should also be made legal.)

3. That legalizing homosexuality would mean acceptance of right to life. In fact, the exact opposite is true. If institutionalised, it threatens the whole human species; it is a threat to life of those who practice it as well as others who come in their sexual contact. (It reduces life expectancy by as much as 25-30 years according to a study.)

4. That it is based on the principle of Freedom of Choice: Freedom of Choice is understandable only if it is the freedom of good choices. Freedom of dangerous choices and death cannot be given to the people.

Normal hygienic and healthy behaviours are important components of civilisation. Perversions cannot but be the antidote of civilisation. Perversions that threaten the lives of individuals and peaceful survival of the most notable natural institution of family cannot be described anything but barbarism at its worst. What can then be said of the “Civilised World” that safeguards, promotes and commercialises the sexual perversion of the most abominable kind and the most life threatening — the homosexuality?

Attempts to legalise homosexuality are nothing but the continuation of the same series of worldwide strategies of “development” in which every human susceptibility is first given a legal and social sanction, then it is glorified in the media as a victory of “Freedom of Choice” and “Human Rights” and then with all the obstacles removed it is commercialised at a huge level. The result is that the most dangerous practices in terms of their impact on health and social peace – use of alcohol and drugs, gambling, prostitution, promiscuity, homosexuality, smoking, which together kill more than 120 million people every year worldwide, have also become huge markets. And economics matters most in this world, not health.

But the truth remains that the economics of homosexuality cannot cover for the menace, which homosexuality is. Attempts to legalise homosexuality are shocking. This is like legalising murders, terrorism and rapes. Homosexuality is, in fact, much more dangerous than any of these, as it has led, leads to and can lead to a much bigger loss of life.

By legalising gay marriages, homosexuality is being sought to be institutionalised. Or else, what can explain why on the one hand marriages in general are being discouraged and on the other gay marriages are being aggressively promoted? This is surely aimed at boosting the population of gays. Children growing in the company of their gay “parents” will have bigger chances of succumbing to homosexual tendencies than the normal population. Moreover, these “parents” cannot be a replacement of natural parents. Their love for their “children” is not natural. The affection between parents and children can never be as fruitful as between natural parents and children; and the probability of child abuse will surely be much greater.

To say homosexuality is natural is like saying criminal tendencies are natural. These are not natural but human aberrations of most dangerous kind. Such aberrations are present in notorious criminals also. Can the crimes be legalised to help them? Can they be given protection by the law on the ground of not discriminating against persons? Even otherwise, homosexuality is a relationship that does not produce any progeny. So, genes if any related to hardcore unadulterated homosexuality cannot be transmitted. Even if it is accepted as natural, it remains an anomaly like many other congenital diseases. The anomalies and diseases need treatment and counselling rather than acceptance and encouragement.

The relationship between sex and homosexuality is the same as between nutrition and alcohol/drugs. Alcohol/drugs are not part of natural nutrition, but if someone is exposed to them, he or she may soon become their addict. Homosexuality is an addiction that should be treated both through legal measures (including ban, boycott and detention) and medical treatment for those who seek to change their behaviour. Homosexuality has already become the harbinger of the death of a sizeable percentage of at least 45 million people that have perished so far due to AIDS. Its legalisation will surely lead to more people succumbing to it with greater spread of AIDS and other sex related diseases. New infections will continue to emerge. There is a need to sexually isolate the HIV-infected rather than legalising homosexuality in the name of AIDS so that they do not spread HIV to others.

There is a difference between “homosexual rights” of humans and “human rights” of homosexuals. The former is unacceptable, but the latter should be ensured. Homosexuals need attention: social and medical. They need to be protected from unauthorised punishment by other members of society and they need the psychological support for giving up their habit so that they can join society as normal people. Once there is an effective ban on homosexuality and its commercialisation and institutionalisation, not only new homosexuals will not be produced in as many numbers, but the already addicted ones will also find it easier to give up. It should remain a crime for those who want to sustain their habit; but those who want an escape route should be helped. The right to treatment is, of course, for every human including even the murderers.

Let’s hope that the Union government forcefully presents its case against same sex marriages, and the court decides the case purely on the basis of the highly dangerous consequences on life, family peace and social order rather than on the basis of frivolous arguments based on the concept of Freedom of Choice advanced by the forces of economics just for the interests of the market. Health and peace should remain supreme.
