JAIPUR — After India’s Anju turning Fatima in Pakistan, Rajasthan woman Deepika Paatidar has converted to Islam after fleeing from the country. Deepika, the mother of two children, adopted Islam in Kuwait.
Deepika from Rajasthan’s Dungarpur, who had fled to Kuwait along with her boyfriend, has now converted to Islam and living under a new name — Nazeera Sayeed — after leaving her husband and two kids behind.
Deepika, now NAzeera, released her video confession on popular TikTok App, where she claimed that she is now a Muslim and her name is Nazeera. She shared a 4.9 minute clip on the video sharing app, where she claimed that she converted to Islam at her own will and wasn’t under any pressure or coercion from anyone. Her TikTok video has gone viral and is also being widely shared.
Deepika, however, blames her husband and father-in-law for her plight. She says that she was forced to leave the country and abandon her religion because of her father-in-law’s objectionable advances and husband’s complicity in it. — Based of media reports
