THE trajectory of insanity is boundless. Intents and purposes of encroaching and destroying mankind for greed and glory are never debated meaningfully. Evil and insanity are not imaginary but real and happening across Palestine and Ukraine and must be stopped to protect innocent human lives. Israeli extremists with active connivance of United States President Donald Trump have effectively destroyed the prospects of a negotiated peace and establishment of a two-states solution in the Middle East. The US and the European Union reimposed economic sanctions on Russia which never showed any visible impacts to stop the war between Russia and Ukraine.
The EU countries heavily rely on continued supply of gas and oil from Russia. The 26 EU countries at a Paris meeting earlier this year offered security guarantees to prospective Ukraine peace deal but none could ever publicly offer words of wisdom to entrenched helpless innocent people of Gaza, daily bombed, planned victims of genocide, starved and forcibly displaced millions by Israel. Are there any global leaders of human conscience to extend security and protection of life to the masses of Gaza? There is a vital issue of ethnicity and Arabs were and remained colonised by the Western world. Were the Geneva Conventions and International Humanitarian Laws just paper-based, dry inked narratives without any power to serve the cause of humanity? How come the Arab-Muslim leaders are nowhere to be seen on this planet to defend the cause of faith to protect Palestinians from a war of extermination?
The EU and America often appear complicit in keeping the on-going war in Ukraine. The war shows Russian strengths and weaknesses for the larger NATO’s strategic interests of change, reconstruction and adaptability across Europe. Do the warmongers know the reality of this universe and how their actions could undermine the present and future of humanity, its survival and sustainable future?
The Earth is a Trust to Humanity
The Earth (a living entity) being bombed is the one given to mankind by God as a “trust.” And, wherever there is trust, there must be accountability. When evil-mongers and wrong-doers violate the sanctity of the Laws of God, they are held accountable – history tells us without any prejudice. One must have walked through the ancient graveyards of so many great nations of the past who used to claim being the “most powerful” on this earth – dead bones and silent forever and nothing else. The succeeding generations would curse them for their crimes against humanity. The global institutions of peace and security appear fractured and dysfunctional to be relevant to crisis management and peace-making.
The US-Israel have dropped equal to “Three Hiroshima-Nagasaki” nuclear bombs on the innocent people of Gaza- Palestine. Trump’s Peace Plan or a Plan Without Peace?
If the peace plan was genuine and rational, President Trump had no need to rush his advisors and Vice President to Israel for its fullest implementation. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu knows all Arab-Muslim leaders are in disarray, lacking vision and wisdom and he is the smart moving force to interpret simple indifferent statements making the peace document. The UN or any other legitimate international body is not part of the supervision or surety of its implementation. When cold-blooded massacres are a daily event, foods and medicines are blocked and starvation becomes a weapon to dehumanise mankind, no conscientious leaders dare to stop the insanity. Are the people of Gaza and Palestine for trades-in to the Arab-Muslim leaders? The Ukraine elite hopes for a ceasefire and a negotiated settlement whereas Russia is pushing for more territorial gains and destabilisation of Ukraine. The meeting between Trump-Putin in Hungary is called off. When people of role and responsibility meet, it creates an amicable momentum for dialogue and better understanding. Western leadership cultures have not learned to relinquish history of pride and prejudice to restore reason encompassing reality. Leadership is an art and it could be improved and changed for the good of humanity. Do intelligent leaders listen to voices of reason and make a navigational change for peace and harmony when facts of life warrant an urgent change in attitudes, policies and behaviour? The Divine Revelations (Qur’an: 40: 21) offer a stern warning to conscientious leaders and nations: “Have they not travelled through the land and observed how was the end of those who were before them? They were greater than them in strength and in impression on the land, but Allah seized them for their sins. And they had not from Allah any protector.”
