Police case Against Cow Vigilantes After They Beat Imam in Telangana Village

NEW DELHI – Police in Telangana have filed a case against a gang of self styled cow vigilantes for attacking and filming a video of  Masjid imam on a road in Hyderabad in South India.

The Siasat Daily reported that Hafiz Abdul Aleem, the imam, and his cousin Yaqub were returning from a market in the Bhongir area where they had gone to purchase beef on a scooter when they were surrounded by the gang armed with sticks. Some of them were masked. The gang beat and yelled at the imam and his cousin.

The police reached the spot and dispersed the gang. Later a case was registered into the incident in Police station Ghatkesar.
