PATNA — In the aftermath of the shocking murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique in Mumbai, former Member of Parliament Pappu Yadav has issued a direct challenge to the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Yadav expressed his anger over the rise of criminal activities and vowed to dismantle Bishnoi’s network within 24 hours.

Baba Siddique’s murder has sent shockwaves through political circles and the public alike, prompting leaders like Pappu Yadav to take a bold stance. On his X account, Yadav criticised the authorities for their inaction, stating that criminals like Bishnoi, who is currently imprisoned in Gujarat, are brazenly orchestrating murders and threatening lives with impunity. Yadav mentioned past incidents, such as the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and the assassination of the Karni Sena leader, to emphasise his point.

In his post, Yadav fiercely wrote, “Is this a country or an army of cowards? Some criminal is sitting in jail, challenging and killing people, while everyone is a silent spectator. First Sidhu Moosewala, then the Karni Sena leader, and now an industrialist politician like Baba Siddique. I will destroy the entire network of a double criminal like Lawrence Bishnoi in 24 hours.”

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Yadav expressed his frustration with how Bishnoi, despite being behind bars, continues to operate a criminal network. Yadav condemned the system for allowing such criminal activity, stating, “One man sitting in jail has surpassed the strength of a nation of 140 crore people. He is flouting the law and openly challenging people from behind bars.”

He also questioned the inaction of the judiciary, saying, “To date, no court has taken notice of this. Is our country’s security so weak that a man sitting in jail can control everything?”

Pappu Yadav, a prominent leader from Purnia, Bihar, went further by questioning the nation’s ability to handle larger threats. He said, “If we cannot handle one criminal, how do we expect to confront threats from countries like China and Pakistan?”

Yadav made it clear that, if given the legal authority, he would personally ensure the dismantling of Lawrence Bishnoi’s entire network. “If the law permits me, I will single-handedly destroy the entire network of a criminal like Lawrence Bishnoi,” he declared.

Baba Siddique’s murder is just the latest in a string of high-profile killings that have rattled the political and entertainment sectors. The murder of Sidhu Moosewala on May 29, 2022, was claimed by the Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gang. Following that, the head of the Karni Sena was shot dead inside his own home. Salman Khan also faced threats with shots fired outside his residence. Now, the political world and the film industry in Mumbai have been shaken again by Siddique’s assassination.

As tensions rise, Yadav’s challenge has added a new layer of intensity to the ongoing battle against organised crime, with the former MP positioning himself as a defender of law and order in the face of growing fear and insecurity.
