Saying that this is the fourth suck attack since 2014 at his residence, Owaisi demanded urgent action and said he culprits should be arrest at the earliest. Probe has been initiated, according to Police.

NEW DELHI — Some unidentified miscreants attacked the residence of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Member of Parliament from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi’s residence here and reportedly pelted stones at it damaging windows on Sunday evening.

“Earlier tonight, I returned from Jaipur & was informed by my domestic help that a bunch of miscreants pelted stones that resulted in broken windows. @DelhiPolice must catch them immediately,” Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted late on Sunday.

Owaisi also shared a video of his residence at Ashoka Road in New Delhi, showing the damages.

The incident happened at the Delhi residence of the AIMIM chief at Ashoka Road area at around 05.30 pm.

“It’s concerning that this has happened in a so-called a “high security” zone. I’ve submitted a complaint to the cops & they’ve reached my residence,” Owaisi said in another tweet.

Following the incident, AIMIM Chief approached the police and lodged a complaint. A team of Delhi police led by an Additional DCP visited his residence and collected evidence from the spot.

Owaisi in his complaint to Parliament Street Police Station also said that this is the fourth such attack at his residence.

“This is the fourth time such an attack has taken place. The area surrounding my house has enough CCTV cameras, and the same may be accessed, and the culprits should be apprehended immediately. It is conceived that such acts of vandalism are happening in such a high-security zone,” the letter further stated.

Demanding urgent action, AIMIM chief said the culprits should be arrested at the earliest.

Meanwhile, a senior police official said that a complaint was received from the MP and Owasi was not present at his residence when the alleged incident happened, reports IANS.

“The crime team has inspected the spot. One brick/stone was also found in the parking area at the back entrance. Windows were also found broken,” said the official, adding that a probe has been initiated.
