Online Urdu Job Mela and Counseling Center Inaugurated at MANUU

HYDERABAD – Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) launched a first of its kind Urdu Job Mela in the country in online mode.

While inaugurating the Mela, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, announced that the Urdu university would try it’s best to facilitate placements of its students. The MANUU has also established Career Counselling Centre (CCC) to help the University students and other candidates with Urdu background in landing suitable jobs or take a self employment initiative.

More than 2,500 candidates registered for the job mela from all over the country will be interviewed by 50-plus companies online during the month long mela. Prof. Hasan declared it a continuous process. He appreciated all the organisers of the event who, he said put in their best efforts to make the mela a huge success. He also expressed his best wishes for the registered candidates.

The Vice-Chancellor pointed out that the mela was supposed to be held physically on 6th January, 2022 but the university didn’t want to take risk in view of Covid protocol announced by the Telangana Government.

Prof S M Rahmatullah, Pro Vice-Chancellor, said the Mela and establishment of the Counselling Centre will go down as a historic event in the annals of the MANUU.

Prof. SK. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, Prof. Shakeel Ahmed, Prof. Saneem Fatima, Prof. Abdul Wahid, Prof. Mohammed Fariyad, Dr. Syed Imtiyaz Hassan, Dr. Mutyala Rao, Dr. Reshma Nikhat and Members of Career Counselling Committee – Dr. Wali ur Rahman, Mr. Mohammed Khasim attended the inaugural function.

Dr. Mohammed Yousuf Khan, coordinator Job Mela & Training and Placement Cell I/c, welcomed the gathering & briefed about the details of this exercise.

Dr. Syed Asghar Mahmood, Member Job Mela spoke about the aims & objectives of the Caree & Counselling Centre. More than 150 companies will be in line, he revealed.
Dr. Syed Salahuddin, Deputy Training Officer & CCC Member proposed vote of thanks and Mr. Ashraf Nawaz, Asst. Training & Placement Officer & Asst. Professor (E&T) convened the programme.
