Need to Expose Real Culprits in Delhi Blast: Congress Leader Mohammad Syed

Anantnag MLA condemns the attack and urges citizens to maintain calm, asserting such acts cannot weaken the nation

NEW DELHI – Congress leader and Jammu & Kashmir legislator Peerzada Mohammad Syed has expressed profound grief over Monday’s bomb blast in the national capital. Speaking to journalists here on Wednesday, he condemned the killing of unarmed civilians and highlighted the urgent need to expose the real culprits and bring them to justice.

“No amount of condemnation will ever be enough for the lives lost,” Syed said. “Killing unarmed people is not justified under any circumstances. Everyone will agree with my opinion, but I want to make one thing clear: such blasts will not weaken our country. If anyone thinks these blasts can shake India, they are mistaken,” the MLA from Anantnag said.

He further stressed the importance of uncovering the individuals behind such terrorist activities. “Those involved in terrorist acts should not be spared at any cost. Their sole aim is to create unrest in society, but we will not allow these plans to succeed under any circumstances,” Syed said. “Killing innocent and unarmed people cannot be considered humane. Condemnation alone is insufficient.”

The investigation into the Delhi car bombing has now been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is actively pursuing leads to ensure justice is served.

Citizens and political leaders alike have expressed solidarity with the victims, emphasising the importance of peace and unity during this challenging time. Syed’s remarks have resonated with many who seek reassurance that such violence cannot undermine India’s social fabric.

“This attack targets the harmony of our society, but we must remain steadfast,” Syed added. “The strength of our nation lies in our unity, and we will not allow terror to divide us.”
