NEW DELHI – The courage of conviction and sincerity of purpose of Nashik’s Muzeen Kokani stood him in good stead and won him six gold medals in the MBA examinations. He also secured the top position at Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais felicitated the proud student during the prestigious recent 123rd convocation of the university.
Muzeen’s academic journey reflects his dedication and passion for learning. Muzeen’s father, Moinuddin Kokney, is a businessman dealing with dairy products and real estate. Instead of stepping into the shoes of his father, Muzeen was more interested in pursuing higher education.
Raised in a family that values education, the father ensured that Muzeen and all three of his sisters received higher education.
Muzeen’s educational journey began at Nirmala Convent School, where he excelled in the SSC examination with an impressive 87.40% marks in 2015. He continued to shine at Faravishi Academy Junior College, Nashik, scoring 90.62% marks in 12th (commerce stream) in 2017. His pursuit of excellence led him to Nashik’s Ashoka Centre for Business and Computer Studies, where he secured the first position in Pune University as he graduated in Business Administration in 2020.
For his post-graduation, Muzeen enrolled at Ashoka Business School where he not only passed the MBA examination with a remarkable CGPA of 9.72 but also emerged as the top performer in the entire university.
Muzeen attributes his success to a steadfast commitment to studying, emphasising the importance of understanding concepts thoroughly for effective exam performance.
Beyond academics, Muzeen actively participated in extra-curricular activities, winning prizes in various presentations and research paper competitions. In a message to fellow students, he urged them to believe in the beauty of their dreams and stressed the significance of focusing on goals to achieve success in life.
Muzeen, currently working remotely as a customer service representative at ISG Transportation, a Canadian logistics firm, has not limited his pursuits to academics.
Alongside his two sisters, he has ventured into entrepreneurship with a startup called The Highland. The startup manages two bungalows (villas) for vacation rentals, showcasing the entrepreneurial spirit of Muzeen and his sisters, Mah Vish and Mah Rukh, (a national-level lawn tennis player).
Expressing gratitude, Muzeen acknowledged the unwavering support of his parents, emphasising that the gold medals symbolise their encouragement. He credited his parents for fostering an environment where their daughters could pursue their dreams without being constrained by societal expectations. Muzeen’s parents, he noted, took pride in his accomplishments and encouraged him to tread the right path with conviction. Today, as congratulations pour in, the eyes of Muzeen’s parents shine with pride.
