NEW DELHI – In blatant defiance of the Bombay High Court order, the Komtwar family is accused of continuing to desecrate the Muslim cemetery in Dharur Fort of Maharashtra’s Beed District.
Despite a clear directive from the court to maintain status quo, individuals such as Amit Dileep and Akshay Dileep from the Komtwar family are allegedly persisting in vandalising the sacred site, posing a threat to Muslim graves and religious sentiments.
A recent land survey brought to light the Komtwar family’s brazen violation of court orders (case numbers: 623-622/A/623A), resulting in three separate cases being filed against them at the Rangdand Road Police Station in Pahalgaon.
Social worker Syed Feroz Qasim has passionately called for urgent legal action against the Komtwar family, condemning their vandalism and complete disregard of the court order.
Speaking exclusively to Clarion India over the phone, Qasim expressed the Muslim community’s profound concern regarding the deliberate destruction of historic graves and emphasised the critical need to safeguard the cemetery from further harm.
Despite community demands and court orders, the issue remains unresolved. The Muslim community, represented by Qasim, has urged the authorities, including the collector, district superintendent of police, state chief minister, and senior ministers to take immediate action against members of the Komtwar family.
Despite ongoing legal proceedings, the Komtwar family members allegedly persist with their actions that threaten law and order.
In a formal complaint from the Muslim community and social worker Qasim to police authorities in Dharur, it was alleged that individuals from the Komtwar family were intentionally damaging graves, hurting the religious sentiments of the Muslim community. Three separate cases have been filed against Dilip Harinath Komtwar and his children at Dindrud Police Station in Majalgaon.
