Amidst the ongoing mass crackdown by the authorities on anti CAA-NRC protests in Uttar Pradesh, people in their thousands have been detained and put in jails. Many of those detained include those who paid a visit to their relatives held in police stations. In Uttar Pradesh, over 17 people have been killed in violence during the police action.
Police has filed an FIR against Kabir, citing charges of rioting and preventing public servants from performing their duty, The Telegraph reported. The FIR copy mentions names of “offenders”and has Kabir’s name written by hand, raising suspicion he was framed without sufficient reason.
The family has filed a bail application which will be heard on Tuesday. Citing family sources, the report in The Telegraph said, Kabir could not sit properly and sought a pain killer.
