Karnataka: Education Loan of Up to Rs 5 Lakh Offered to Minorities

NEW DELHI – The application window for the Arivu loan scheme introduced by the Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation (KMDC) opened on Friday.

The KMDC has introduced the scheme for the academic year 2024-25, targeting students pursuing professional courses.

The loan scheme, designed to support students from minority communities, will provide financial assistance ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh.

Eligible courses under the Arivu loan scheme include MBBS, BDS, B.AYUSH, BE, B.Arch, B.Tech, Pharmacy, Agricultural Science, and Pharmaceutical courses. These courses must be selected through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) in the Common Entrance Test (CET) or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), a press release issued by KMDC said on Friday.

The deadline for submission of applications is July 7. Interested students can apply online via the KMDC website, the press release said.
