ISTANBUL — Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters on Friday warned against any “hostile acts” targeting infrastructure in Iran, saying its armed forces would respond decisively with strikes on the US and Israeli assets in the region, Fars News Agency reported.
In a statement issued in response to threats by US President Donald Trump, the headquarters’ spokesperson said Iran would not show leniency in the face of any aggression.
The spokesperson issued a strong warning that any such actions would be met with full targeting of US and Israeli assets in the region.
The region has been on alert since the US and Israel launched an air offensive on Feb. 28, killing more than 1,340 people so far, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel along with Jordan, Iraq and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, causing casualties and damage to infrastructure while disrupting global energy markets. — Anadolu Agency
