NEW DELHI – Postpartum weight gain, particularly around the belly area, often poses a significant challenge for women after childbirth. However, a ray of hope emerges as Dr. Sana Jameel, a postgraduate scholar at Ajmal Khan Medical College of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), unveils a groundbreaking therapy aimed at reducing belly fat in women post-delivery.

Dr. Sana Jameel, currently pursuing her postgraduate studies in the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Ajmal Khan Medical College has devised an innovative therapy targeting abdominal fat reduction in women post-childbirth.

Highlighting the importance of her research, Dr. Jameel mentions that she is in the process of compiling her findings into a paper and intends to conduct further clinical trials to refine her therapy based on fresh observations from patients.

The period following childbirth often sees women grappling with the problem of weight gain, particularly in the abdominal region, which can affect both their physical and mental well-being. Dr. Jameel emphasises the significance of her therapy, which offers a ray of hope for new mothers seeking to regain their pre-pregnancy body shape.

Explaining the components of her therapy, Dr. Sana Jameel said it involves a combination of massage, fomentation, and specialised exercises tailored to address postpartum belly fat. She extends an invitation to women facing concerns related to postpartum belly fat to seek her consultation at the Ajmal Khan Medical College Hospital’s OPD every Friday and Saturday.
