In a Facebook post ‘Maa Madhura’ called the man a “Jihadi Snakelet” who she “gave a good beating” because he had pushed her shoulder while emerging from gallery. She appealed to the people to support her.
She is said to be a follower of Yati Narsinghanand, the infamous preacher of Dasna Devi temple in UP’s Ghaziabad. The preacher frequently spews hate and threats against Muslims without any legal repercussions.
‘Maa Madhura’ can also be seen in photos on Facebook with Ashwani Upadhyay, the Supreme Court lawyer and former BJP spokesperson who recently organised a rally at Jantar Mantar in the national capital where participants raised genocidal hate slogans against Muslims.
Attacks by right-wing supporters on ordinary Muslims have seen a sharp spike in recent months.
